According to market sources, Taiwan’s China Man-Made Fiber Corp. (CMMFC) is planning to shut its MEG plant in Kaohsiung, Taiwan for a scheduled maintenance.

The maintenance is expected to start in mid-February 2017 and last for about 50-60 days, sources said.

The plant has a production capacity of 200,000 tons/year.

Taiwan’s CPC was previously reported to be planning maintenance on its naphtha-fed steam cracker at the same site around the same time, which is expected to last for 56 days.
