Thai SCG’s Long Son complex on track to start up in Q1 2023
The complex will include a 1 million tons/year ethylene cracker with flexible gas and naphtha feed that will produce up to 1.6 million tons/year of olefins. The project will also include 450,000 tons/year HDPE plant and a 400,000 tons/year PP plant as well as an LLDPE plant. The proposed plants are expected to use olefins produced from the cracker.
The $5.4 billion complex will be the first integrated petrochemical complex in Vietnam upon its completion.
