Thailand’s Bangkok Polyethylene to take HDPE line offline

According to market sources, Thailand’s Bangkok Polyethylene, a subsidiary of PTT Global Chemical, will take its No 2 HDPE line at Map Ta Phut offline in mid-May due to a planned maintenance that is expected to last for 15 days.
The plant at Map Ta Phut has two HDPE lines, each with a capacity of 125,000 tons/year.
The company’s No 1 HDPE line at the same site is scheduled to be shut for maintenance in the second half of August for two weeks, sources said.
