Thailand’s Indorama to complete Rotterdam PTA expansion in Q2 2016

Market sources report that Thailand’s Indorama is planning to complete expansion works at its PTA plant in Rotterdam, the Netherlands in the second quarter of 2016. Once the expansion is completed, the plant’s capacity is expected to increase to 600,000 tons/year from its current capacity of 350,000 tons/year.
Sources also stated that the company plans to shut one of its two PET lines at the same site for maintenance during expansion works at the PTA plant. The two PET lines are each able to produce 200,000 tons/year.
