Thyssenkrupp to build PET plant in Russia

According to media reports, Thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions, a partner for engineering, construction and service of industrial plants and systems, was awarded a contract by Russia’s Polyster Plant Ivanovo to build a PET plant in Ivanovo, Russia and signed a contract worth €150 million.
The new plant is expected to have a production capacity of 200,000 tons/year of PET polymer and staple fibre, the reports indicated.
Uhde-Inventa Fischer, which is a subsidiary of Thyssenkrupp, has completed the construction of more than 450 polymer plants worldwide, many of which are located in Russia.
