Turkey Freight Rate Update

Freight rates from China and Southeast Asia to the Turkish market have been announced for July, according to MTS Izmir. The new rates will be in effect from July 1 until July 30, 2017.

When compared to the rates in June, freight rates for shipments from China increased by $50/container for 20’ containers on the low end while they remained unchanged on the high end. They also increased by $50/container for 40’ containers on the low end while they decreased by $50/container on the high end. Freight rates from Southeast Asia also increased by $50/container for 20’ containers on the low end while they did not change on the high end. Meanwhile, they also remained unchanged for 40’ containers on the low end while they increased by $50/ton on the high end. Rates from India to Turkey remained unchanged.

Rates from Northwest and Southern Europe to Turkey were stable. Rates for shipments to Turkey from the Middle East and the USA were also unchanged.

The following freight rates per container are effective as of July 1, 2017 and contain all applicable costs such as bunker adjustment fees (baf) and currency adjustment fees (caf):

The abovementioned freight rates are valid until July 30, 2017. Price ranges for geographical regions are due to freight variations depending on the port.
