Turkey’s consumer confidence up 4% in January

According to the consumer tendency survey carried out in cooperation with the Turkish Statistical Institute and Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, consumers’ confidence in the economy rose by 4% on the month and became 83.3 in January. The index remained stable back in December.
The financial situation expectation index for the next 12 months increased by 6.3% to 83.8 in January when compared to last month. Furthermore, the general economic situation expectation index was also up by 6.5% on the month to 88.2.
In addition, assessment on spending money on durable goods index over the next 12 months rose by 5.1% from 92.6 last month to 97.3 in January.
