Turkey’s home sales decrease in June

According to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat), Turkey’s home sales fell by 8.1% and stood at 97,579 units in June compared to the same month of 2016.

Istanbul had the highest share of home sales at 18.4% with 17,970 units, followed by Ankara (10.4%) with 10,160 units and Izmir (6.2%) with 6,034 units.

New home sales held a 46.6% share of Turkey’s total house sales in June with 45,433 units, down 7.9% from the same period of 2016. Istanbul recorded the highest number of new home sales with 8,656 units, followed by 3,585 new sales in Ankara and 2,341 in Izmir.
