Turkey’s home sales extend slide in April
House sales have been retreating since August 2018.
Istanbul had the highest share of home sales with 18.3% and 15,481 sold house, followed by Ankara (8.9%) with 7,519 units and Izmir (5.7%) with 4,797 units.
First house sales had a 39.6% share of all house sales in Turkey with 33,443 sold units, down markedly by 29.6% from the same period of 2018. Istanbul recorded the highest number of new home sales with 6,424 units, followed by 2,429 new sales in Ankara and 1,900 in Izmir.
