Turkey’s home sales increase in March

According to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat), Turkey’s home sales rose by 10% and stood at 128,923 units in March compared with the same month of 2016.

Istanbul had the highest share of home sales at 17.4% with 22,443 units, followed by Ankara (11.6%) with 15,004 units and Izmir (6.3%) with 8,059 units.

New home sales held a 43.7% share of Turkey’s total house sales in March with 56,376 units, up 7.6% from the same period of 2016. Istanbul recorded the highest number of new home sales with 9,972 units, followed by 5,355 new sales in Ankara and 3,117 in Izmir.
