Türkiye’s SASA commissions new chips production facility in Adana

According to the statement by SASA to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), the Turkish company has commissioned its new textile, bottle and PET chips production facility in Adana. Equipped with MTR technology, the plant was completed with an investment of USD230 million and has started commercial production as of April 30.
With an annual production capacity of 330,000 tons, the plant is expected to contribute approximately 350 million dollars to the company’s annual turnover.
With the new plant, SASA further strengthened its integration in the polyester production chain. On March 3, the company announced the completion of its PTA (purified telephthalic acid) plant investment with an annual production capacity of 1.750.000 tons.
