Türkiye’s SASA completes PTA investment in Adana

According to the statement made by SASA to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), the company completed its PTA (purified terephthalic acid) plant in Adana, Türkiye with an investment amount of $1.72 billion and an annual production capacity of 1.75 million tons as a strategic investment.

The construction, mechanical assembly, commissioning processes and trial production of the PTA plant were completed and commercial production started on March 3, 2025.

It was reported that with this move, the company’s production capacity and competitiveness in the petrochemical sector and its export potential will increase while its import dependency will decrease.
