UAE-based Borouge, a joint venture between the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and Austria’s Borealis, is planning to shut two PP lines at its Borogue 2 complex in Ruwais in February. The company reportedly will shut the lines for repairs after an incident in December. Sources also report that it is not clear when the company will resume production at the lines.

The Borouge 2 petrochemical complex has two PP lines with a combined production capacity of 800,000 tons/year while the complex also houses a 540,000 tons/year PE plant.
