US Congress reaches deal on $900 billion relief package
According to media reports, the relief package includes $600 direct payments to most Americans and would establish a temporary $300 per week supplemental jobless benefits.
Plus, $300 billion will be allocated for small businesses, $25 billion for rent assistance, $30 billion for vaccine distribution, and $45 billion for the transportation industry.
The package is expected to be submitted for the signature of US President Donald Trump after being approved by the House of Representatives and the Senate later on Monday.
