US durable goods orders tick up in November
The slight rebound followed two monthly decreases in a row, including a 4.3% plunge in October. The 2.9% jump in transportation equipment orders drove the November increase.
Shipments of manufactured durable goods increased by 0.7% to $256.7 billion, after a 0.4% decrease in October. Transportation equipment, which grew by %2 to $89.5 billion, led the increase during the month.
Inventories of manufactured durable goods also increased by 0.3% to $412.8 billion, supported by primary metals that rose by 0.9% in November.
