US housing starts, permits fall in September
In September, single‐family housing starts were at around 1,041,000 units, standing 0.9% below August levels.
Furthermore, building permits for privately-owned housing units decreased by 1.6% from August to reach 1,555,000. This figure was 7.4% higher than the September 2020 rate of 1,448,000.
