US producers continue to announce May butadiene contracts

According to market sources, more US producers announced their May butadiene contract prices. Accordingly, ExxonMobil announced its new contract at 64 cents/lb ($1411/ton), down 29 cents/lb ($639/ton) from April settlement while LyondellBasell nominated its new contract price at 73 cent/lb ($1609/ton), down 20 cents/lb ($441/ton) from the previous month.
Shell Chemicals reportedly re-announced its May butadiene contract at 69 cents/lb ($1521/ton), down 24 cents/lb ($529/ton) from April. The company’s initial nomination was at 73 cent/lb ($1609/ton).
