According to a source close to the relevant companies, three Russian PVC producers will shut their plants in August and September. Russia’s Sayanskchimplast is planning to shut its PVC plant on August 9 and the plant is expected to be offline until September 8. The plant has a production capacity of 300,000 tons/year. In addition, Bashkir Soda Company plans to suspend PVC production at its 240,000 tons/year plant between August 6 and August 25.

Meanwhile, sources also reported that RusVinyl is planning a scheduled maintenance at its PVC plant in September. The plant, which is able to produce 300,000 tons/year of S-PVC and 30,000 tons/year of E-PVC, will be shut on September 10 and will remain offline for around two weeks.
