Update on Borealis’s force majeure
Technically, a splitter is used to purify refinery and chemical grade propylene to produce polymer grade propylene. Whether the force majeure on supplies from the splitter will affect the downstream unit was not yet known.
The unit at Kallo has a production capacity of 480,000 tons/year of propylene.
