Vinnolit to shut PVC plant

According to market sources, European PVC producer Vinnolit is planning to shut its Knapsack plant in Germany due to a planned maintenance.
The maintenance at the plant is expected to take place in late April-early May, sources said.
The company will reportedly take all the units offline, which have a capacity of 250,000 tons/year of chlorine, 170,000 tons/year of PVC, 470,000 tons/year of ethylene dichloride and 330,000 tons/year of VCM.
