Wood wins contract for ethylene expansion project in China

According to a press release, the UK-based Wood has been awarded a $120 million contract for Chinese Sinopec Hainan Refining and Chemical Limited Company’s ethylene and refinery expansion project in the Hainan Free Trade Zone in South China.
As per the contract, Wood is expected to provide engineering, procurement and construction services to expand the project.
Once completed, the complex will be able to produce up to 1 million tons/year of ethylene derivatives and refined oil, the press release added.
