December PP, PE sellers concede to slack demand in UAE

Players in the United Arab Emirates had initially received December PP and PE offers with mostly rollovers when compared to November levels. According to market participants, weak market dynamics amidst slack demand and sufficient supplies coupled with year-end lull have resulted in $20-30/ton discounts on deals despite sellers’ rollovers trials.
The current offers are as follows (all on CIF Dubai, 90 days deferred payment basis):
HDPE film: $990-1010/ton
HDPE blow molding and inj.: $1020-1030/ton
LDPE film: $1110-1120/ton
LLDPE film: $990-1010/ton
Homo-PP raffia and inj.: $1010-1020/ton
Homo-PP film: $1050-1060/ton
PPBC inj.: $1060-1090/ton
On a related note, locally held PP offers remained unchanged this month too at $1010-1040/ton for PPH raffia and inj., and $1050-1070/ton for PPBC, on a FD Dubai, cash basis.
