Egypt’s SIDPEC unveils Jan PE offers to local market

SIDPEC, one of the two local PE producers in Egypt, revealed its new January PE offers to the market mostly with rollovers as compared to latest December prices.
Accordingly, the producer’s current offers stand at EGP58,000/ton ($1149/ton) for HDPE film, EGP62,000/ton ($1228/ton) for HDPE b/m and at EGP61,500/ton ($1218/ton) for HDPE inj., all on ex-Alexandria, 60 days deferred payment, not including VAT basis.
According to players, dull local demand given low run-rates prevented potential hikes requests despite firmer parity.
