UAE’s PP and PE markets see price hikes in February after three months of stability

Players in the United Arab Emirates received February PP and PE offers with increases over previous months. The prices increased by $30-60/ton after three months of rollovers. On the local front, prices for locally-held cargoes initially showed up with higher prices but later retreated to January levels due to buyers’ resistance.
The current offers are as follows (all on CIF Dubai, 90 days deferred payment basis):
HDPE film: $1050-1060
HDPE blow molding and inj.: $1050-1060/ton
LDPE film: $1180-1220/ton
Homo-PP raffia and inj.: $1070-1080/ton
Homo-PP film: $1100-1110/ton
In the meantime, locally PP offers are at $1040-1070/ton for PPH raffia and inj., and $1080-1100/ton for PPBC, on a FD Dubai, cash basis.
