The Price Indexes are an important tool for our members’ contract business, whether it is between buyers and sellers in the polymer market or between converters and their end customers.
ChemOrbis also offers detailed origin-based indexes for major spot markets including China, Southeast Asia and Türkiye without adjusting the delivery terms, payment terms and duties. We hereby aim to reflect the most representative price ranges the same way market players use it in their daily trading routine.
Price Indexes consist of the prices gathered from the sources involved in the reported transaction and editorial price assessments published in Weekly Analysis throughout the week. Prices are collected each week from a wide range of sources both on the buy and sell side of polymer transactions and assessed by the experienced Market Intelligence team of ChemOrbis.
The ChemOrbis system is unique in that the collection and reporting of market information is done by an extensive local team located within each region covered. All reported prices are put through rigorous analytical tests, including netback and cost analysis, before the decision is made to include them in the Price Index by the Market Intelligence team.
