I mercati del PP e del PE dell'India sono entrati in una fase di intensa correzione difensiva dei prezzi, segnalando un ambiente difficile per i produttori locali alle prese con un eccesso di offerta. I principali produttori indiani di polimeri sono stati costretti a implementare forti tagli ai prezzi, spingendo i valori di importazione verso i punti più bassi della recente storia di monitoraggio...

L'aggravarsi del conflitto commerciale tra Stati Uniti e Cina ha ora raggiunto il settore marittimo, con entrambe le parti che devono affrontare gravi svantaggi, tra cui il caos nelle spedizioni, il peso dei costi e le difficoltà operative. A quanto pare, questo campo di battaglia marittimo si è trasformato in una doppia spada — il tentativo di ciascuna parte di indebolire l’altra ha, per ora, minato la propria efficienza e struttura dei costi...

I mercati degli stirenici hanno esteso il loro trend ribassista a ottobre per via della debolezza della domanda regionale e dei costi delle materie prime in calo. La maggior parte dei player ha lasciato le proprie scrivanie la scorsa settimana per partecipare alla fiera K 2025, il cui esito è stato seguito da vicino dai player del settore a livello globale. Mentre le offerte di importazione hanno toccato i livelli minimi da ottobre 2020 per il PS e luglio 2020 per l’ABS iniezione naturale, anche i prezzi domestici dell’EPS sono scesi ai minimi da cinque anni. La pubblicazione del rapporto finale anti-dumping (AD) della Turchia sulle importazioni di polistirene ha aggiunto un nuovo strato di incertezza, poiché i player del PS hanno valutato come i potenziali dazi potrebbero rimodellare le dinamiche di importazione verso la fine dell'anno...

I mercati domestici delle poliolefine del Vietnam hanno prolungato il loro trend ribassista durante la settimana terminata il 10 ottobre, intrappolati in un ciclo di debolezza della domanda e di cautela. Sia i prezzi del PP che quelli del PE hanno subito un ulteriore calo, raggiungendo i minimi da diversi mesi o da diversi anni. I trasformatori sono rimasti riluttanti a rifornire le scorte a causa della domanda fiacca dei prodotti finiti e delle aspettative di ulteriori riduzioni di prezzo. Nel frattempo, l’offerta è rimasta ampia con le costanti importazioni e le continue operazioni commerciali di Long Son Petrochemicals...
